Job summary

Teaching Personnel are working with an inspiring, forward-thinking specialist school in Stockport to recruit a passionate Learning Support Practitioner. The school supports pupils from primary through post16 and is known for its warm, inclusive approach.

You’ll join a team that genuinely transforms young lives, supporting pupils with complex communication and learning needs, working 1:1 and in small groups, and helping children with autism, sensory differences and physical needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care, education or support roles.
  • Understanding of autism, learning disabilities, sensory needs or complex profiles.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with complex communication and learning needs.
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups across varied activities.
  • Provide personal care and mobility support when required.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, communication and social development
