Job summary

Gateshead College is seeking an experienced Learning Support Co-ordinator at Baltic Campus. You will oversee the delivery of learning support across curriculum areas and lead a team of Learning Support Officers to ensure compliant, outcome-focused support for learners.

You will coordinate learner support planning, reviews and SEND processes, working with learners, families, Local Authorities and external professionals to maximise positive learner outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience coordinating learning support for learners with additional needs in FE.
• Experience supervising staff and developing professionals.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day delivery of learning support in a designated area.
• Line manage and develop Learning Support Officers to maintain high practice standards.
• Quality assure learner support plans, reviews and arrangements for effectiveness and outcomes.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to plan support with positive learner participation and progress.
• Coordinate transition, annual reviews and SEND processes with families and Local Authorities.
• Monitor support arrangements using data and feedback to drive improvement.
• Promote assistive technology and innovative approaches to increase learner independence.
