Job summary

Bristol Brunel Academy is seeking a Learning Support Lead for Operations to oversee the learning support function and lead a dedicated team. The role focuses on equity of opportunity and delivering an excellent educational experience for students with diverse needs.

You will work closely with SENCOs to remove barriers, support learners with SEND and English as an Additional Language, and ensure safety and wellbeing of pupils across the academy.

Qualifications

• Requires good literacy and numeracy (minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths and English).
• Experience working with SEND students and those with additional needs or disabilities is essential.
• Understanding of learning processes and behaviour management to facilitate learning activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Learning Support Team to ensure equitable opportunities for all students.
• Collaborate with SENCOs to remove barriers to learning and support individualised plans.
• Contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment for children and young people.
