Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist Resource Base in Easton, Bristol. This part-time role supports pupils with SEND, 1:1 work, and small intervention groups, delivering personalised learning and fostering communication, confidence and independence.

You will work with teachers and SEND professionals in a nurturing, inclusive primary setting. The role offers flexible 3-5 days per week, immediate start, and a supportive education consultant, with

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people in a caring or educational setting.
• Patient, resilient and compassionate.
• Interest in SEND and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND within the Resource Base and wider school environment.
• Work with children on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups.
• Help deliver personalised learning and support plans.
• Support communication, social interaction, and emotional development.
• Encourage engagement in learning through positive and inclusive strategies.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
• Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
• Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, and SEMH.
