Avanti House Secondary School is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to ensure learning continues when teachers are absent. You will supervise classes, deliver prepared work, and maintain a calm, supportive learning environment to help pupils stay on track.

The role involves classroom support, behaviour management, and broader school duties, with opportunities to contribute to enrichment activities and staff development.

Qualifikationen

• Educated to at least Level 2 (A*-C GCSE) including English and Mathematics.
• Good ICT/technology knowledge and practical ICT skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, and work well in a team.

Aufgaben

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared work for absent teachers.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and health and safety.
• When not covering lessons, provide wider support across the school (supervision, learning support, exams, admin).
• Implement school policies and procedures; support learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in relevant training and professional development.
