Job summary

Simply Education Ltd is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to join a large and welcoming secondary academy on the outskirts of Luton and Dunstable. The role focuses on maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent and managing classroom environments.

The ideal candidate may be a graduate or someone with strong behaviour-management experience, with or without QTS, ready to support students across multiple subjects and year groups while adhering to safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing classroom environment and maintaining student focus.
• Ability to work with secondary-age pupils and support learning outcomes.
• Willingness to support students across different subjects and year groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and keep students on task.
• Maintain a positive, calm, and purposeful classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support students with their learning and encourage participation.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.
• Ensure students complete work set by their usual teacher.
• Support pastoral and academic environment of the academy.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and promote student wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and the wider school team.
