Responsibilities

• Supervise students during pre-set learning activity in absence of a teacher.
• Establish productive relationships with students, modeling high expectations.
• Liaise with class teacher to understand tasks and resources for learning.
• Record and report attendance as per academy procedures.
• Explain requirements and tasks to students and answer questions.
• Manage student behaviour to maintain a constructive learning environment.
• Report back to the designated class teacher as appropriate.
• Collaborate with staff to create a purposeful and orderly learning environment.
• Assist with lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans.
• Prepare and maintain equipment/resources as required by staff.
• Keep and update records as agreed with staff.
• Prepare and maintain general and specialist equipment and resources.
• Administer routine tests and invigilate exams/tests.
• Provide first aid to staff, students, and visitors when necessary.
• Be flexible to attend after-school meetings or year group meetings.
