Job summary

Career Teachers is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in South London, supporting pupils aged 5-19 with SEMH needs. You will assist classroom teachers, support personalised lessons, and help create a safe, engaging learning environment.

The role offers full training, ongoing professional development, and a supportive consultant from Career Teachers. If you have SEN experience, DBS Update Service, and two references, you could start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN or SEMH in a school or similar setting.
• DBS Update Service held or willingness to apply via us.
• Two employment references covering the last 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH needs in the classroom and during wider school activities.
• Assist teachers in delivering personalised lessons and interventions.
• Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
• Encourage confidence, independence, and positive development in every learner.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Full Time - ASAP Start

We’re seeking a motivated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in South London, supporting pupils aged 5-19 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school provides a nurturing, supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 4:00pm
Location: South London
Start Date: ASAP
