Job summary

Career Teachers UK is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in South London. You will support pupils aged 5-19 with SEMH needs, assisting teachers with personalised lessons and interventions, and helping to create a safe, engaging learning environment.

The role is full-time, with a Monday-Friday schedule and an ASAP start. You will receive ongoing training and development opportunities, a dedicated consultant, and a Refer-a-Friend scheme to support

Qualifications

• Previous SEN experience (within a school or similar setting).
• A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us).
• Two employment references covering the last 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH needs in the classroom and during wider school activities.
• Assist teachers in delivering personalised lessons and interventions.
• Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
• Encourage confidence, independence, and positive development in every learner.

SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time – ASAP Start

We’re seeking a motivated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in South London, supporting pupils aged 5-19 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school provides a nurturing, supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 4:00pm
Location: South London
Start Date: ASAP
