Job summary

Mendip Green Primary School in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, seeks a committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team for 11 months.

You will work with teachers to support the delivery of lessons, assist with learning resources, and support pupils with diverse needs while contributing to safeguarding and inclusive practice. The role is 32 hours 30 minutes per week, term time only, with a salary of £22,692.92 per annum.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 GCSEs (Grade C/Level 4 or above), including English and Maths.
• Desirable Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2, Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience supporting learning within a school, educational or childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the planning, preparation and delivery of lessons.
• Working with individual pupils, small groups and whole classes.
• Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support.
• Preparing learning resources and educational materials.
• Supporting children with different learning needs and abilities.
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers.
• Promoting pupil wellbeing, safeguarding and inclusion.
• Helping to create a safe, stimulating and positive learning environment.
