Aspire People is seeking Learning Support Assistants to work in primary schools from September 2026. You don’t always need a Teaching Assistant qualification if you can demonstrate transferable experience and understanding of working with children.
Roles include 1:1 and small-group support, helping with Reading, Writing and Maths, and aiding pupils with SEND. Opportunities span full-time and part-time contracts across multiple schools.
**Have you worked with children but don't have a Teaching Assistant qualification?**
Aspire People are recruiting **Learning Support Assistants** to work within primary schools from September 2026.
We're particularly interested in people with experience working with children or young people in other settings. You don't necessarily need a formal TA qualification if you can demonstrate the right transferable experience and a genuine understanding of working with children.
This could be an excellent opportunity if you've previously worked as a **youth worker, tutor, sports coach, mentor, childcare professional, children's activity leader** or have previous experience within a school.
A TA qualification is **not essential** for the right candidate, although relevant qualifications and recent school experience would be advantageous.
