Job summary

Aspire People Limited in Manchester is recruiting experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistants for primary schools from September 2026. Roles available across full-time and part-time placements to suit different schedules.

You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, help with reading, writing and maths, and deliver basic interventions under teacher direction. A patient, adaptable approach and a solid safeguarding ethos are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and recent UK primary school experience.
• Understanding of the primary curriculum and ability to support reading, writing and maths.

Responsibilities

Do you have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and recent experience working in a UK primary school?

Aspire People are currently recruiting experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistants for primary schools from September 2026.

We're looking for reliable and enthusiastic practitioners who already understand the demands of working in a school and can confidently support pupils both academically and pastorally.

This is ideal for a TA who has built up solid classroom experience and wants to secure a new role for the upcoming academic year.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Assisting with classroom learning and differentiated activities
• Supporting Reading, Writing and Maths
• Delivering basic interventions under teacher direction
• Supporting pupils with SEND where required
• Helping maintain positive classroom routines
• Supporting behaviour and pupil engagement
• Supervising pupils during breaktimes and transitions
• Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team

We're Looking For:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Recent experience working within a UK primary school
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum
• Experience supporting classroom learning and/or interventions
• Confident working with primary-aged children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education

Candidates with experience supporting SEND, SEMH or pupils with additional learning needs would be particularly attractive to many of our partner schools.
