Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a Hexham primary school on a long- or short-term basis starting as soon as possible. This role offers an opportunity to support pupils with catch-up sessions and to contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom.

You will provide one-to-one and small group support, adapt activities for diverse needs including SEND, and help pupils access the curriculum while promoting wellbeing and independence.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to support children with diverse learning needs including SEND.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps.
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, behaviour and social development.
