Milk Education is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join supportive schools on a short or long-term basis. We offer flexible opportunities to match experience, availability and career goals.

You will support pupils one-to-one and in small groups, including SEND pupils, while collaborating with teachers to foster inclusion, wellbeing and pupil development. This role provides pathways into longer-term and temp-to-perm opportunities, with a speedy registration and a strong safeguarding

Qualificações

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, additional needs or challenging behaviour is beneficial.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them achieve their potential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, calm and nurturing approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team; confident taking direction from teachers and adapting to different school environments.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, psychology, support work or a related area are desirable but not essential.

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Providing targeted support to pupils who may require additional help with their learning.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
• Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
• Working alongside class teachers and other support staff to deliver effective learning.
• Supporting pupils with their classroom activities and helping them stay engaged.
• Promoting a positive, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
• Supporting positive behaviour and following the school's behaviour policies.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
