Job summary

Milk Education are currently supporting a welcoming primary school in North Tyneside to recruit a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time basis. You will work with the class teacher and school team to support pupils across the classroom, delivering engaging activities and providing targeted 1:1 and small-group support.

The role focuses on helping pupils learn, build confidence and independence, and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment while assisting with general classroom duties.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in education.
• Patient, nurturing and approachable.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Proactive and willing to get stuck in.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning and development.

Milk Education are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in North Tyneside who are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to make a genuine difference to pupils' learning, confidence and development.

The role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher and wider school team to support pupils across the classroom. You may work with individuals, small groups or the wider class depending on the needs of the school.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development
• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging activities
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required
• Helping pupils to build confidence and independence
• Supporting positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom
