Job summary

Loughborough College Group is seeking sessional Learning Support Assistants to join the Learning Support team across our campuses (Brooksby College, Loughborough College, Stephenson College).

You will help students with identified learning needs, provide in-class and online support, notetaking, personal care and mobility assistance as required, and contribute to individual learning programmes in liaison with tutors.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Level 2 qualification or GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Flexible and can-do approach; committed to teamwork.
• Positive approach towards all students.

Responsibilities

• Support students in a sensitive, professional, discreet and confidential manner.
• Encourage independence, self-empowerment and self-help skills where possible.
• Contribute to the development of individual learning programmes with tutors.
• Ensure students receive appropriate support and report issues to coordinators.
