Job summary

Loughborough College Group is seeking Learning Support Assistants at Brooksby College to help students with identified learning difficulties across courses from Entry to Level 3/A Level. Roles include note-taking, personal and mobility support, and aiding with online and classroom activities.

The role emphasises confidentiality, independence, teamwork and safeguarding, with a term-time schedule (36 weeks) and opportunities for further training. A diverse, inclusive workplace is promoted.

Responsibilities

• Support students in a sensitive, professional, discreet and confidential manner
• Encourage personal and academic independence and self-help skills
• Contribute to development of individual learning programmes with coordinators and tutors
• Ensure students receive appropriate level of support and report issues to coordinators
• Demonstrate safeguarding awareness and respond to safeguarding concerns
• Maintain effective communication with staff and students
