Job summary

Heart of Worcestershire College is hiring Learning Support Assistants for three term-time, part-time roles across Malvern and Worcester campuses. The positions offer flexible hours (20, 21, or 28 per week for 36 weeks) with pay ranging from £10,781.22 to £15,093.72 per year, based on hours, experience and qualifications.

These roles involve supporting learners with SEND/EHCPs, enabling access to Functional Skills, GCSE and vocational programmes, and promoting inclusive practice.

• Experience of supporting learners with SEND and EHCPs a plus.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and equality.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred learning support through 1:1 and group interventions to help learners achieve goals.
• Support delivery of Functional Skills, GCSE and vocational programmes by applying tailored strategies.
• Promote inclusivity, independence, confidence, resilience and positive learning behaviours.
• Support learner engagement, attendance, punctuality, wellbeing and achievement across programmes.
• Collaborate with tutors, support staff, parents/carers and external agencies to meet learners' needs.
• Maintain accurate, confidential learner records in line with policies and statutory requirements.
