Job summary

Solihull College & University Centre is seeking Learning Support Assistants to join the Additional Needs Team at Woodlands campus. These roles are hourly paid positions. The hours are flexible and variable, up to a maximum of 37 per week, and will be offered on a guaranteed annual hours basis.

Qualifications

• Experience working in supportive or caring roles with young people or adults.
• Understanding of how to assist individuals with additional needs.
• Knowledge of inclusive learning and equal opportunities.
• Good general education up to GCSE level, including Maths and English at Grade C / Grade 4 or above (or equivalent).
• Willingness to develop specialist skills related to disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with additional needs to access learning activities.
• Assist teaching staff to promote inclusive participation.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support as required.
