Job summary

Lansdowne Primary Academy, part of the Gateway Learning Community (GLC), is seeking strong, enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work across classrooms. You will support literacy, numeracy and behavioural needs, taking direction from class teachers and the SENCo to plan activities that move learning forward.

Key responsibilities include small group provision, observing and recording needs, and supporting emotional and social development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent required.
• Maths and English GCSEs A-C or equivalent.
• Experience delivering classroom support for literacy, numeracy and behavioural needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead small group provision and intervention for SEND pupils.
• Support emotional and social development of students.
• Carry out observations and write up assessments to inform needs.
• Identify groups or individuals who may be falling behind and plan activities to support progress.
• Work flexibly under direction from teachers and SENCo.
