We are looking to appoint a strong, enthusiastic and committed SEN Learning Support Assistant, working in Acorns, our resource base. The base is a Thurrock provision catering for pupils with social communication needs and Autism. Successful candidates will be required to work flexibly taking direction from the class teacher to deliver personalised planning. The base has a strong positive behaviour management ethos and a total communication approach. Our students' needs are at the core of our ethos and successful candidates will be required to support the emotional and social development of the young people they work with.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience with children with additional needs and challenging behaviours and must be able to carry out and write up necessary observations to inform and evaluate the child's needs.
