Job summary

Create Education and two Lewisham primary schools are seeking a confident Learning Support Assistant to join from September, working closely with pupils and teaching staff to help children make progress across the primary age range.

You will support pupils with learning needs, deliver targeted interventions, and help maintain positive routines and engagement in the classroom. Compliance checks and safeguarding are important aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• This role requires confident, adaptable and enthusiastic support for primary pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils throughout lessons, keeping them focused and on task.
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to access the curriculum.
• Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to boost learning.
• Maintain positive behaviour and build trusting relationships with pupils.
• Collaborate with class teachers and year groups to ensure consistent support.
• Follow safeguarding and wellbeing procedures to create a safe learning environment.
