Little Thurrock Primary School is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils who speak English as an additional language (EAL). The role involves assisting with teaching, supporting student progress and contributing to a caring, inclusive classroom environment.
The successful candidate will work with staff to plan for individual needs, maintain records and help ensure high standards of education and safeguarding across the school community.
Salary: Thurrock Band A Point 1-6
(£18,370.43 - £19,664.03 per annum)
32 hours and 5 minutes per week
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:25pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
37 weeks of the year - term time only

An internal opportunity has arisen at Little Thurrock Primary School to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils who speak English as an additional language (EAL). You will have a passion for working with pupils and assisting them on their journey. You will need to have an understanding of the subjects that you support the children in, be able to demonstrate a positive attitude and apply school rules consistently. You will be resilient and have excellent de-escalation skills. The ideal candidate will be able to nurture supportive relationships and be able to demonstrate a practical, hands on approach to supporting teaching.
