Job summary

Dan Y Coed School in Swansea is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to help pupils with autism and complex needs thrive. The role involves supporting engaging lessons, building trusting relationships with pupils and families, and contributing to off-site activities in a nurturing, inclusive setting.

We welcome both experienced candidates in SEN/ASD and newcomers, offering full training and ongoing support to help you grow and succeed in a meaningful, purpose-driven environment.

Qualifications

Experience in SEN/ASD is desirable or willingness to learn.
You’ll support engaging lessons and activities with pupils who have ASD and complex needs.
Full training and ongoing support are provided.

Responsibilities

Support engaging lessons and creative learning activities.
Work closely with pupils with ASD and complex needs.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families.
Take part in off-site activities and experiences.
Create a positive, inclusive environment where children feel safe and supported.
Be part of a caring, passionate team.
Assist with aspects of personal care as required.
