Job summary

Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the Learning Support team. The role supports students with identified learning difficulties and/or disabilities across 36 weeks per year, Monday–Friday 08:30–16:30.

You will assist students across Entry to Level 3 / A Level, providing in-class and online support, notetaking, personal care and mobility assistance, while contributing to individual learning plans with course tutors.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Level 2 qualification, GCSE 4+ in Maths and English.
• Flexible, team-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support students in a sensitive, professional, discrete and confidential manner.
• Encourage independence and self-help skills where possible.
• Contribute to development of individual learning plans with coordinators and tutors.
• Ensure students receive appropriate support and report issues to coordinators.
