Job Description:

A ‘good’ school in Barnet is seeking a full-time experienced Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils who have learning difficulties, behavioural problems, or physical or sensory disabilities. This position is until July 2025. The staff are highly supportive, and creativity is encouraged. They offer an excellent staff well-being package and career development opportunities. Both staff and children are friendly and welcoming. There is onsite parking and good transport links. Pay starts from £90 per day.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering RWI phonics sessions
• Working with SEN children
• Assessing individual learning needs
• Managing challenging behaviour positively
• Liaising with parents, carers, and professionals
• Supervising activities
• Collaborating with teachers to create bespoke, child-centered education plans
• Working with children in small groups and one-to-one
