Study Support Assistant, London Borough of Barnet

Position: Study Support Assistant - LLDD / Personal Care Assistant

Type: Temporary Role

Rate: £75 - £80 per day

Location: Barnet and Southgate College Southgate Campus

Start Date: August

Are you a Learning Support or Study Support Assistant seeking a new role to start immediately? Morgan Hunt is recruiting for Barnet and Southgate College, a dynamic institution committed to high-quality education and a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting learners with diverse needs
• Providing personal care (wheelchair assistance, feeding, personal care, etc.)
• Working with students with ASD, complex needs, and SEMH
• Full and part-time availability

Requirements:

• Commitment to supporting learners with flexibility
• Excellent communication, patience, and enthusiasm
• Previous SEND experience is required
• Experience with Makaton, PECs, and sensory approaches (advantageous but not essential)
• Willingness to provide personal care to vulnerable students
• Previous SEND and Personal Care Assistance experience or as a support/care worker

Other Essential Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS Disclosure
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
• Professional reference checks
• CV covering last 10 years of employment
• Legal right to work in the UK
