The role
The Work Experience Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating work experience programs for students aged 16-19 with complex needs. This includes finding safe, suitable work placements aligned with students' career aspirations, maintaining relationships with placement providers, and supporting students in accessing and maintaining their placements.
This role involves liaising with families and professionals to meet student needs, collecting progression evidence as students transition into employment, education, training, or volunteering, and supporting the college team to ensure placements meet individual needs and support students' learning journeys. The Work Experience Lead reports to the Head of Heath Farm College.
Heath Farm College is an independent specialist sixth form college in Maidstone, supporting up to 58 students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. We provide a unique environment where students can make significant progress and succeed academically.
