Job summary

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group seeks a Learning Support Assistant for the Agriculture and Horticulture Department at Berkshire College of Agriculture, Maidenhead. The role is part-time, term-time only, working 30 hours per week over 37 weeks per year.

Salary is pro‑rata on the Support Staff pay scale (G17 to G19), with the pro‑rata range reflecting appointees’ hours and terms. The post reports to the Head of Department and involves supporting students with EHCPs and learning needs across

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A-C or equivalent) are required.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia is desirable.
• Positive attitude and flexibility to work across departments and remotely if necessary.
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities.
• Support students in whole classes, small groups or individually in line with EHCPs.
• Help with assignments, exam preparation, and development of English, maths and ICT skills.
• Monitor behaviour and maintain confidential records in line with college policies.
• Adapt learning materials and assist with the use of specialist equipment.
