Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for Berkshire College of Agriculture, delivering support in Agriculture and Horticulture. The role is part-time during term time, 30 hours per week over 37 weeks per year, with a pro-rata salary on Scale G of the Support Staff pay scale.

The post reports to the Head of Department and involves assisting with planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities, supporting students with EHCPs, and helping develop English,

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualifications (GCSE grade A-C or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Experience or qualifications supporting individuals with learning difficulties such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia.
• Ability to work across departments or remotely online if necessary.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities.
• Support students with EHCPs to access the curriculum and achieve learning goals.
• Assist with assignments, exam preparation, and development of English, mathematics and ICT skills.
• Monitor student behaviour and maintain confidential records.
• Adapt learning materials and support use of specialist equipment.
