Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the Additional Learning Support Department at Berkshire College of Agriculture in Maidenhead. This part-time, term-time role works 30 hours per week across 37 weeks per year, with a pro-rata salary from £17,161.78 to £18,374.68 (G17–G19 scale).

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualifications (GCSE A-C or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Experience working with young adults, ideally in education.
• Positive attitude and flexibility to work across departments and remotely if needed.
• Commitment to safeguarding and college policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities.
• Help students with assignments, exam preparation, and development of English, mathematics and ICT skills.
• Support whole classes, small groups, or individuals per EHCP and college policies.
• Monitor behaviour, maintain confidential records, and adapt learning materials.
• Assist with use of specialist equipment and risk management procedures.
