Job summary

Derby College Group (DCG) is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join our Student Experience and Pastoral team at Broomfield Hall. You will support a student on a 1-1 basis and help create an inclusive learning environment enabling equitable access to education and progression.

You will work with tailored support plans, employ assistive tools as needed, and collaborate with specialists to address academic, social and emotional development, fostering independence and belonging across

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in providing tailored support to students with additional learning needs.
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, Equalities Act 2010 and SEND reforms (including Education, Health and Care Plans).
• Understanding of RARPA.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-1 and small group support to students.
• Create an inclusive learning environment both in and outside the classroom.
• Contribute to individual learning plans and work with specialists as needed.
• Support academic, social and emotional development to help learners progress.
