Connex Education is seeking an SEMH Learning Support Assistant to work across Chippenham and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible day-to-day supply, short-term and longer placements with competitive daily PAYE rates (£95–£110).

SEMH Learning Support Assistant – Chippenham & Surrounding Areas

Location: Chippenham and surrounding areas
Pay: £95–£110 per day PAYE

Connex Education are recruiting SEMH Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of schools in Chippenham and the surrounding areas. Whether you are looking for flexible day-to-day supply, short-term work or a longer-term placement, we can offer opportunities to suit your availability and experience.

This is a great opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, LSAs, support workers and candidates with relevant transferable experience who want to make a positive difference to pupils’ lives.

The Role

As an SEMH Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils who may require additional emotional, behavioural and educational support. Placements can vary from mainstream schools with SEMH provision through to specialist settings.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Supporting pupils to regulate their emotions and manage challenging situations

Flexible Supply Work

About You

We are looking for individuals who are patient, resilient, consistent and nurturing, with a genuine interest in supporting children and young people.

Experience working with SEMH, challenging behaviour, ADHD, trauma, anxiety or other additional needs is desirable. However, relevant experience from education, care, youth work, residential settings or similar environments will also be considered.
