Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a supportive school in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with special educational needs and assist the class teacher with tailored lessons and adapting resources to individual needs.

This full-time role is temporary to permanent with an ASAP / September 2026 start. You will implement EHCP targets, support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development, monitor

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 £120 per day

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and adapting resources to individual needs.
  • Support pupils social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Implement EHCP targets and work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff.
  • Support pupils with personal care where required.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is preferred.
  • A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Holds, or is willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.

We offer a £100 referral fee for successful referrals of friends or colleagues who complete five or more shifts.
