Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming primary school in Thornbury to appoint a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time temporary basis across KS1 and KS2. You will support pupils with learning and development, work alongside classroom teachers and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The role runs Monday to Friday, offers £14.25–£15.50 per hour, and requires reliable travel to the school.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a primary school or similar setting.
• Experience working with pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Able to drive to the school reliably.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Caring, patient and positive approach to supporting children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning and development in class.
• Work with classroom teachers to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Assist in maintaining positive behaviour and focus in lessons.

The school is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time temporary basis, working Monday to Friday across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support pupils with their learning and development, work alongside classroom teachers and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children within a primary school or similar educational setting
• Experience working with pupils across KS1 and KS2
• A good understanding of supporting pupils with different learning needs
• The ability to drive and travel reliably to the school
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A caring, patient and positive approach to supporting children
