Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Bristol. The role provides day-to-day support across Key Stage 1, working with teachers to help pupils with learning, encourage positive behaviour and maintain an engaging classroom.

The successful candidate will have KS1 experience, a good grasp of the Primary Curriculum and strong communication skills. The position offers market-leading pay rates and a supportive onboarding process.

Salary: £14.25-£15.50 per hour

The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide day-to-day support across Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning, encourage positive behaviour and help create an engaging classroom environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting


• Experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1


• A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning


• Adaptability and excellent classroom management skills
