Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Bristol. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning across KS1, help maintain positive behaviour, and contribute to an engaging classroom environment.

The role emphasizes aiding children's confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning, with on-going CPD and support from consultants throughout the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Adaptability and excellent classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help create an engaging classroom environment.
• Support the teacher with lesson delivery, tasks, and supervision as needed.

The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide day-to-day support across Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning, encourage positive behaviour and help create an engaging classroom environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting


• Experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1
