GSL Education Newcastle is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a primary school in Newcastle upon Tyne (NE15). Immediate start.

You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, assist teachers, and help pupils achieve their learning goals. DBS clearance required or willingness to apply; strong safeguarding knowledge essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is essential.
• Good understanding of strategies that promote inclusion and positive behaviour.
• Ability to adapt your approach to meet individual learning and communication needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient and compassionate attitude.
• Committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

Pay: £90-£115 per day (depending on experience)
