Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a fantastic primary school in Treorchy, seeking a Learning Support Assistant for Nursery/Early Years. This long-term, full-time role offers hours in Treorchy with immediate start and pay of £14.25 per hour.

You'll provide general classroom support and assist with small groups and personal care as required. The successful candidate will have experience with Nursery/ Early Years settings, strong communication and teamwork, and a patient, pupil-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in Nursery or Early Years setting.
• Support for Nursery/Early Years pupils desirable.
• Confident with children individually and in small groups.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support in Nursery/Early Years.

The school is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a long-term, full-time basis within their Nursery / Early Years provision. The successful Learning Support Assistant will provide general classroom support alongside working with small groups of pupils, supporting their learning and development throughout the school day, and candidates must be comfortable changing pupils and providing personal care when required.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children within a Nursery, Early Years or similar educational setting
• Experience supporting Nursery / Early Years pupils is desirable
• Confidence working with young children individually and in small groups
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive and pupil-focused approach to learning
• Adaptability and a caring, patient approach
