Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an ALN Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs in a Newport school. Start date is immediate and the role is temporary-to-permanent, with opportunities to secure a permanent position.

You will work with teaching staff to support pupils with ALN, including those with ASD/ADHD, promoting engagement, independence, and positive learning behaviours. Competitive pay and ongoing CPD opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with ALN.
• Caring, patient and adaptable approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD or learning difficulties desirable.

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting a committed ALN Learning Support Assistant on a temporary-to-permanent basis, starting immediately. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teaching staff to support pupils with a variety of additional learning needs, both inside and outside the classroom, promoting engagement and positive educational outcomes.
