Knutsford Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to build supportive relationships with students and help them achieve in and outside the classroom.
You will work 25.5 hours per week during term time (38 weeks), supporting pupils with diverse needs, and you may start ASAP after interviews. Training and development opportunities are available in a supportive school environment.
Knutsford Academy are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who can build supportive relationships with students, based on high expectations, positive regard and care. Candidates will need excellent teamwork and communication skills, a genuine interest in working with young people, flexible thinking and a willingness to learn. Caring, patience and resilience are key. Our Learning Support Assistants work both inside and outside the classroom, on a one-to-one and group basis, supporting students with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. Working alongside class teachers and also within the Learning Support Hub, you will support students in their academic achievement, as well as with their mental health, wellbeing and inclusion. Our students cover the full range of abilities and no two days are the same. The role can be both challenging and rewarding and you will need to be proactive and motivated to effectively identify and support students' needs. Ideally, we are looking for experienced candidates who hold a recognised teaching assistant qualification, but we are also committed to training our LSAs and developing their skills.
