Responsibilities

The Role

• Helping pupils engage with lessons and classroom activities

• Providing additional support to pupils who may display challenging behaviour
• Following individual education, behaviour and support plans
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other education professionals
• Helping to maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting pupils throughout the school day, including during break and lunchtime where required

• Previous school-based experience is desirable; however, candidates with relevant transferable experience from care, support work, residential care, youth work or other SEND-focused environments are also encouraged to apply.
