• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour
• Provide additional support to pupils who may display challenging behaviour
• Follow individual education, behaviour and support plans
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other education professionals
• Help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
• Support pupils throughout the school day, including break and lunchtime

The Role

As a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access their education and reach their full potential.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND


• Supporting pupils with needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties


• Helping pupils engage with lessons and classroom activities

The Ideal Candidate

Previous school-based experience is desirable; however, candidates with relevant transferable experience from care, support work, residential care, youth work or other SEND-focused environments are also encouraged to apply.
