Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a North Durham primary school on a long- or short-term basis starting in September. You will support pupils one-to-one and in small groups, help deliver catch-up sessions, and work with the class teacher on lesson planning and resource adaptation.

This role suits both new and experienced educators who value wellbeing, community, and sustained school relationships.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting.
  • Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred).
  • Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team.
  • Interest in working with children.
  • No relocation, lives locally to the North East.

Responsibilities
