Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to work across welcoming secondary schools in South Tyneside, starting in September on a term-time basis. As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll support students across multiple Key Stages, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

You’ll work closely with teachers and SEND teams to provide tailored classroom support, whether one-to-one, with small intervention groups, or supporting the whole

Qualifications

  • Recent experience working with young people, ideally within education, youth work, care, coaching, or mentoring.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, adaptable and positive approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting students across multiple Key Stages within the classroom.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve their learning goals.

SEN Learning Support Assistant

We’re currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to work across welcoming secondary schools in South Tyneside, starting in September on a term-time basis.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll support students across multiple Key Stages, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. You’ll work closely with teachers and SEND teams to provide tailored classroom support, whether working one-to-one, with small intervention groups, or supporting the whole class.

Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students across multiple Key Stages within the classroom
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve their learning goals
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation

Learning Support Assistant Requirements or Skills
  • Recent experience working with young people, ideally within education, youth work, care, coaching, or mentoring
  • A passion for supporting secondary-aged students to achieve their potential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and positive approach
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
