The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support students with SEND both within the classroom and through small group or one-to-one interventions.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Adapt learning resources to meet individual student needs.
  • Encourage student engagement, confidence and independence.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SEND team and external professionals.
  • Assist with monitoring student progress and recording observations.
  • Provide pastoral support and help create a safe, positive learning environment.
  • Support students during breaktimes, educational visits and school activities where required.
