Philosophy Education, Ltd. is recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant at a well-established Secondary SEND school in Charlton, Greenwich.

You will support students aged 11–19 with SLD, PMLD and complex medical needs to access a personalised curriculum. This full-time, term-time role involves 1:1 and small group support, promoting independence, communication and social development, and collaborating with teachers, therapists and the wider team.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN within a school setting.
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or Level 2 qualifications in both Maths and English.
  • Alternatively, a recognised qualification or ASD support training, or a degree-level qualification.

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for your next rewarding role in SEND education?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Secondary SEND school in Charlton, Greenwich, seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to support students aged 11–19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and complex medical needs.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a school setting.
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or Level 2 qualifications in both Maths and English.

Alternatively, applicants will also be considered if they have either:

  • A recognised qualification or completed training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) support, or
  • A degree-level qualification.
