Job summary

Powertutors UK is seeking compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work 2:1 with students in Epsom, Esher and Woking. Hours are 10–15 per week in term time, paid at £25 per hour.

The role focuses on communication, engagement, independence and emotional regulation through play-based activities to help pupils with SEND build confidence.

Experience in education or SEND is essential; you should be friendly, patient and well organised, with the ability to adapt to each student’s goals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEND in school or SEND settings.
• Friendly, patient and calm demeanor with ability to build rapport quickly.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage schedules.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to work closely with our students on a 2:1 basis in Epsom, Esher and Woking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Play based learning
• Provide 2:1 support to our students alongside a Lead Tutor.
• Focus will be on communication, engagement, independence, social interaction and emotional regulation through motivating play-based activities.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young people with SEND, particularly in a school or SEND setting.
• Friendly, patient and calm demeanor, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage schedules effectively.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to students needs and goals.

Essential:

• Previous work in education, particularly in SEND

Hours: 10 - 15 hours per week in term time only

Pay: £25 per hour
