Job summary

Powertutors UK is seeking compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work 2:1 with students in Epsom, Esher and Woking. Hours are 10–15 per week in term time, paid at £25 per hour.

The role focuses on communication, engagement, independence and emotional regulation through play-based activities to help pupils with SEND build confidence.

Experience in education or SEND is essential; you should be friendly, patient and well organised, with the ability to adapt to each student’s goals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEND in school or SEND settings.
• Friendly, patient and calm demeanor with ability to build rapport quickly.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2:1 support to students alongside a Lead Tutor.
• Engage students in play-based learning to support communication and social interaction.
• Support independence and emotional regulation through motivating activities.
