Job summary

Powertutors UK is seeking compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work 2:1 with students in Epsom, Esher and Woking, supporting children with SEND in a school setting. You will assist with play-based learning, helping learners develop communication, engagement, independence, social interaction and emotional regulation under the guidance of a Lead Tutor.

Expect 10–15 hours per week during term time, with pay of £25 per hour and flexible scheduling to fit around you.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEND in a school or SEND setting is preferred.
• Friendly, patient and calm demeanor with rapport-building ability.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage schedules effectively.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to students' needs and goals.

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to work closely with our students on a 2:1 basis in Epsom, Esher and Woking

Key Responsibilities:

• Play based learning
• Provide 2:1 support to our students alongside a Lead Tutor.
• Focus will be on communication, engagement, independence, social interaction and emotional regulation through motivating play-based activities.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young people with SEND, particularly in a school or SEND setting.
• Friendly, patient and calm demeanor, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage schedules effectively.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to students needs and goals.

Essential:

• Previous work in education, particularly in SEND

Hours:

10 - 15 hours per week in term time only

Pay:

25 per hour
